Disaster Recovery Improvement Act establishes a task force to expedite disaster relief funding.

The Disaster Recovery Improvement Act establishes an interagency task force to expedite disaster relief funding. The task force will submit a report to Congress and make it publicly available, identifying programs for which Congress appropriates funds to aid recovery purposes relating to natural disasters. The report will contain recommendations for Federal agencies on expediting disaster relief efforts, including streamlining temporary programs, improving applications for funding, and reducing delays in the review and obligation of funds.
