Removes age restrictions on Medicaid eligibility for working adults with disabilities.
The Ensuring Access to Medicaid Buy-in Programs Act of 2026 amends the Social Security Act to remove certain age restrictions on Medicaid eligibility for working adults with disabilities. It modifies the optional buy-in groups by striking age limits and adding new groups, including individuals who would be considered to be receiving supplemental security income but for earnings in excess of the limit. States that already provide medical assistance to these groups will not be regarded as failing to comply with the amendments before January 1, 2028.
