The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) Certification Act requires the President to remove certain privileges, exemptions, and immunities.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) Certification Act mandates the President to withdraw specific privileges, exemptions, and immunities from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices if Hong Kong's autonomy from China diminishes. The Secretary of State must determine whether these offices merit continued privileges, exemptions, and immunities, with Congress having the opportunity to disapprove through a resolution. If the Secretary of State determines that the offices no longer merit these privileges, they must cease operations within 180 days. The Act also restricts U.S.
