S.3580

Federal SB3580 requires the Secretary of Agriculture to provide cost-share grants for retrofitting agricultural tractors with rollover protection.

Federal SB3580 mandates the Secretary of Agriculture to award grants to eligible entities, including agricultural producers and certain schools, for the cost of purchasing, transporting, and installing approved rollover protection structures on eligible equipment. The grant covers 70% of the costs, with an exception for costs exceeding $500. The Secretary will select a Program Administrator to manage the grant application process, establish a public website, and operate a phone hotline. Funding is authorized at $725,000 annually for fiscal years 2027 through 2031.
