Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to permit tree removal around electrical lines on National Forest System land without a separate timber sale.
The Fire-Safe Electrical Corridors Act of 2025 allows the Secretary of Agriculture to authorize the removal of trees and vegetation around electrical lines on National Forest System land without requiring a separate timber sale. This removal must align with the applicable land and resource management plan and other environmental laws. If the electrical utility sells any of the removed material, it must provide the proceeds, minus transportation costs, to the Secretary of Agriculture through the Chief of the Forest Service.
