The ISLET Act amends the Public Health Service Act to classify human cadaveric islets for transplantation as organs. The Secretary of Health and Human Services must update relevant regulations within one year. The bill also clarifies that human cadaveric islets are not included in certain definitions. The Secretary must report to Congress on the progress of these updates within six months of the Act's enactment.
