Boosting Benefits and COLAs for Seniors Act mandates use of Consumer Price Index for Elderly Consumers for Social Security cost-of-living adjustments.

The Boosting Benefits and COLAs for Seniors Act amends title II of the Social Security Act to require the Commissioner of Social Security to use the Consumer Price Index for Elderly Consumers for determining cost-of-living adjustments under titles II, VIII, and XVI of the Social Security Act. The Bureau of Labor Statistics must publish a Consumer Price Index for Elderly Consumers each month. The act applies to cost-of-living computation quarters ending on or after September 30, 2026.
