The Sunshine Protection Act of 2025 aims to make daylight saving time permanent.
The Sunshine Protection Act of 2025 repeals the temporary period for daylight saving time and makes it permanent. It amends the Uniform Time Act of 1966 and the Calder Act to adjust the standard time for certain states and areas. The bill allows states to choose their standard time, either the current time or the time before the enactment of the act. This change affects all states and areas currently observing daylight saving time.
