The Urban Canal Modernization Act amends the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 to authorize the Secretary of the Interior or the transferred works operating entity to carry out extraordinary operation and maintenance work on urban canals of concern. These canals are defined as those with an estimated at-risk population of more than 100 individuals in case of failure and classified as urban canal reaches.
