Bonuses for Cost-Cutters Act of 2025 strengthens employee cost savings suggestions programs within the Federal Government.

The Bonuses for Cost-Cutters Act of 2025 strengthens employee cost savings suggestions programs within the Federal Government. It amends the definition of "surplus salaries and expenses funds" and requires agencies to report on savings achieved through employee disclosures of possible fraud, waste, or mismanagement. Agencies can retain up to 10% of identified surplus funds for cash awards to employees. The Secretary of the Treasury must submit annual reports on federal cost savings and awards to Congress and the Government Accountability Office.
