The Safe Response Act reauthorizes the first responder training program by amending the Public Health Service Act. It expands the scope of the program to include training on other drugs beyond opioids and heroin. The bill also updates terminology to include "approved, cleared, or otherwise legally marketed" and increases funding from $36,000,000 to $57,000,000 for fiscal years 2026 through 2030.
