The DAIRY PRIDE Act aims to ensure that no food can be introduced into interstate commerce using a name for a standardized dairy product if it does not meet the criteria for dairy products or the requirements for imitation of another food. The Act amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to clarify that a food is a dairy product only if it is derived from milk. The Secretary of Health and Human Services, through the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, must issue guidance on enforcement within 90 and 180 days of enactment, and report to Congress on enforcement actions within two years.
