The SHARKED Act of 2025 establishes a task force to address critical needs related to shark depredation. The task force will develop strategies to improve coordination and communication across the fisheries management and shark research communities. It will identify research priorities, funding opportunities, and recommended management strategies to address shark depredation. The task force will also coordinate educational materials for the fishing community to minimize shark interactions. The task force will terminate seven years after its establishment.
