Break the Cycle of Violence Act aims to reduce community violence through grants and interventions.

The Break the Cycle of Violence Act seeks to reduce community violence by authorizing the Department of Health and Human Services to award grants for community-based violence intervention programs. These programs focus on providing culturally competent, community-based services to individuals at high risk of being victimized by or engaging in violence. The bill also establishes an Office of Community Violence Intervention and a National Community Violence Response Center to coordinate research, provide technical assistance, and report to Congress on community violence trends and gaps.
