USDA CROP Act of 2025 enhances coordination between EPA and USDA on pesticide oversight.
The USDA CROP Act of 2025 amends the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act to improve coordination between the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Agriculture (USDA). The EPA Administrator must coordinate with the USDA Secretary to develop risk mitigation measures for pesticides. This includes using agronomic use data from USDA and industry, and considering alternatives to the pesticide. The Administrator must also conduct an economic analysis of the measures' costs and publish it in the docket.
