The Bring Animals Relief and Kibble Act of 2025, also known as the BARK Act of 2025, offers protections for individuals, nonprofit organizations, and state or local governments from civil or criminal liability when donating pet food and supplies in good faith. This protection applies to donations of pet food or supplies that meet all quality and labeling standards, even if they are not readily marketable. The act also provides partial protection for donations that do not meet all standards, provided the recipient agrees to recondition the items to meet those standards.
