S.1897

Establishes the Adverse Childhood Experiences Response Team grant program to address trauma in children.

The bill amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to create the Adverse Childhood Experiences Response Team grant program. The Attorney General, in coordination with the Secretary of Health and Human Services, will award grants to states, local governments, Indian tribes, and community-based organizations. These grants aim to establish response teams addressing childhood trauma.
