The ASSIST Act of 2025 amends title 38 of the United States Code to ensure that the Department of Veterans Affairs includes medically necessary automobile adaptations in its definition of "medical services." These adaptations include ramp and kneeling systems, raised doors or lowered floors, raised roofs, and air conditioning. The bill also extends the limit on payments of pension for veterans from November 30, 2031, to September 30, 2032.
