NRCS Wetland Compliance and Appeals Reform Act amends wetland determination and appeal processes.
The NRCS Wetland Compliance and Appeals Reform Act amends the Food Security Act of 1985 to reform wetland compliance and appeals processes. It prohibits the Secretary of Agriculture from making a wetland determination based on a rationale not used in a successful appeal. It requires the Secretary to develop an appeal process for wetland certification requests not accepted by state offices. The Secretary must offer individuals the option to participate in a customer satisfaction survey after certain events. State oversight committees are established to review appeals and report findings.
