The Portable Ultrasound Reimbursement Equity Act of 2025 amends title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide coverage of portable ultrasound transportation and setup services under the Medicare program. The Secretary of Health and Human Services will provide separate payments for these services, similar to payments for portable X-ray services. Requirements for suppliers of portable ultrasound services will be similar to those for portable X-ray services. The changes will apply to services furnished on or after January 1, 2027.
