The WIPPES Act mandates "Do Not Flush" labeling on certain wipes to prevent pollution.
The Wastewater Infrastructure Pollution Prevention and Environmental Safety Act, also known as the WIPPES Act, requires manufacturers, wholesalers, suppliers, and retailers to clearly label certain wipes with a "Do Not Flush" notice and symbol. This applies to wipes marketed as baby or diapering wipes, as well as those used for general cleaning, disinfecting, and personal care. The label must be highly visible, with high contrast against the packaging background, and must cover at least 2% of the principal display panel.
