Establishes a Select Committee in the House of Representatives to investigate Mexican drug cartels.
The bill establishes a Select Committee to Defeat the Mexican Drug Cartels in the House of Representatives. The committee will be composed of up to 21 members appointed by the Speaker, with no more than 10 appointed after consultation with the minority leader. The Speaker will designate a chair. The committee will investigate the operations and capabilities of Mexican drug cartels, including international networks that facilitate and enable these cartels, and U.S., Mexican, and other government efforts to target and defeat them.
