This bill mandates that Members of the House of Representatives who must reimburse the Treasury for certain payments must appear before the Clerk for a public reading of the reasons for the reimbursement. The Clerk must notify the Speaker, Minority Leader, and relevant committee chairs and ranking members if a Member does not comply within 30 days. Former Members must also reimburse the Treasury and appear before the Clerk for public disclosure. The Clerk must notify the Sergeant-at-Arms of any former Member whose privilege of admission to the Hall of the House is restored.
