HIV is Not a Crime Day Resolution aims to end the criminalization of people living with HIV and promote awareness and education.
The HIV is Not a Crime Day Resolution seeks to end state-sanctioned violence against people living with HIV by opposing HIV criminalization laws. These laws, which exist in 32 states, deter people from seeking HIV testing and treatment, stigmatize those living with HIV, and disproportionately impact Black and brown communities. The resolution supports removing scientifically inaccurate HIV laws, increasing funding for HIV treatment and prevention, and reducing stigma and discrimination.
