The No AI Data Centers on Federal Lands Act bans the construction and operation of Artificial Intelligence Data Centers on federal lands. These centers include buildings, equipment, and structures used for developing or operating AI models at scale or with a power capacity exceeding 20 megawatts. Agencies must remove existing centers and infrastructure within 30 days of the act's enactment, following environmental laws. Federal land includes all U.S.-owned or managed land, excluding land held in trust for Indian Tribes.
