Requires Members of Congress to disclose absences from attendance for 21 or more consecutive days.

The Duty of Transparency Act mandates Members of Congress to file disclosure statements if they anticipate being absent from congressional proceedings for 21 or more consecutive days. These statements must be submitted within five days of the anticipated absence and include expected absence dates and reasons. Members must update these disclosures every 30 days during the absence. The statements are made public by the designated attending officer within two days of filing. Failure to comply is subject to enforcement by the applicable ethics committee.
