The Welcome Back to the Health Care Workforce Act authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services to award grants to eligible entities for career support of internationally educated health care professionals. These professionals must have completed education requirements in another country and be lawfully admitted for permanent residence, admitted as a refugee, granted asylum, or authorized to be employed in the U.S. Eligible entities include hospitals, community-based organizations, institutions of higher education, and others.
