The Military Next-Gen Collision Avoidance Act of 2026 mandates the Secretary of Defense to submit a plan to Congress for deploying Airborne Collision Avoidance System–X (ACAS–X). The plan must include a strategic roadmap for deployment, necessary actions and funding for research, development, testing, evaluation, and standards development, and interoperability considerations for aircraft operators. The Secretary must also provide a briefing to the House and Senate Armed Services Committees within 30 days of submitting the plan.
