The Mental Health Parity Enforcement and Funding Act amends the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 to establish civil monetary penalties for violations of mental health parity requirements. It also appropriates $30,000,000 annually from fiscal years 2027 through 2031 to the Employee Benefits Security Administration for enforcing these requirements. The amendments apply to group health plans for plan years beginning one year after the enactment of this Act.
