Ban Abortion by Mail Act

Introduced·6/24/26

Ban Abortion by Mail Act prohibits REMS-certified providers from prescribing abortion drugs without an in-person visit and a state license.

The Ban Abortion by Mail Act mandates that REMS-certified providers must have an in-person visit with patients before prescribing abortion drugs. Additionally, providers must hold a medical license in the state where the patient resides. Violators will lose their REMS-certified status for at least two years. The Secretary of Health and Human Services must report annually on any REMS-certified providers who lose their status due to violations or unsafe prescribing practices.
