The Honor Their Service Act authorizes the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to award grants to eligible entities for providing immigration legal services to noncitizen veterans. These services include defense in removal proceedings, assistance in pursuing lawful reentry or repatriation, requests to upgrade discharge characterizations, naturalization applications, and parole applications. The Secretary must establish criteria and requirements for these grants, considering needs in rural communities, on trust lands, and in U.S. territories and possessions.
