The AI-Ready Federal Data Guidelines Act requires the National Institute of Standards and Technology to develop guidelines for federal agencies to prepare open government data for use in training artificial intelligence models. The guidelines must address data formatting, labeling, metadata, maintenance, and availability. The Director may also carry out pilot programs to develop conformity assessment procedures for AI-ready datasets in specific sectors and scientific domains. The bill includes provisions for congressional briefings on the implementation of these guidelines.
