The National Diabetes Project Act establishes the National Diabetes Project within the Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The Project aims to create and maintain an integrated national plan to overcome diabetes. The Secretary of Health and Human Services, or the Secretary’s designee, will oversee the creation and updating of the national plan, evaluate all federal programs around diabetes, and coordinate with international bodies to combat diabetes globally.
