Know Your Rights Act establishes legal orientation programs for detained noncitizens to inform them of their rights and immigration procedures.

The Know Your Rights Act aims to improve the treatment of detained noncitizens by establishing legal orientation programs. These programs will inform noncitizens of their rights and the basic procedures of immigration hearings. The Attorney General will create an Office of Legal Access Programs within the Executive Office for Immigration Review to develop and administer these programs. The programs will be available in English and the five most common native languages of detained persons.
