Establishes a pilot program to encourage veteran employment in manufacturing.
The Manufacturing Jobs for Veterans Act of 2026 establishes a pilot program called the Veterans Manufacturing Employment Program. The Secretary of Labor will award competitive grants to three states to create State Manufacturing Employment Programs. These programs will provide grants to manufacturing employers and joint labor-management organizations to reimburse costs for training eligible veterans in manufacturing-specific skills. The training includes on-the-job training, apprenticeships, and courses leading to a recognized postsecondary credential.
