The Department of Energy Nuclear Transparency Act mandates the Secretary of Energy to post announcements on a publicly accessible website within 24 hours of entering into agreements to authorize certain nuclear facilities, issuing safety analyses, or altering directives and safety standards. These announcements must include summaries of any alterations and the relevant safety analyses, excluding commercially sensitive information. The Secretary must also submit an annual report to Congress detailing activities related to these nuclear facilities.
