The Freedom from Taxes Act of 2026 eliminates certain taxes on firearms under the National Firearms Act.

The Freedom from Taxes Act of 2026 amends the Internal Revenue Code to eliminate taxes on the transfer and manufacture of firearms. Specifically, it removes the $200 tax on the transfer of firearms and the $200 tax on the manufacture of firearms. Additionally, it exempts certain firearms from the excise tax. These changes will take effect 90 days after the enactment of the Act.
