The Restoring Overtime Pay Act of 2026 amends the Fair Labor Standards Act to establish a minimum salary threshold for exempting executive, administrative, and professional employees from federal overtime pay requirements. The threshold will start at $45,000 and increase annually to $75,000 by 2030. The Secretary of Labor can also set a higher threshold through rulemaking. The act requires employees to be compensated on a salary basis at a rate not less than the applicable threshold.
