The Deporting Illegal Poachers Act amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to make aliens inadmissible and deportable if they have been convicted of or committed offenses that violate certain state or federal hunting or fishing laws. This includes violations such as hunting, trapping, or fishing without a valid license or permit, or illegal hunting or fishing in violation of season, bag limit, method, location, or protected species rules. The act applies regardless of whether the conviction or offense is classified as a misdemeanor or felony under federal, state, tribal, or local law.
