The Servicemember Payment Data Privacy and Security Act prohibits the Secretary of Defense from contracting with retailers who use covered payment processing equipment, systems, or services. These include equipment, systems, or services developed, manufactured, provided, owned, controlled, or operated by entities from countries of concern or those reasonably believed to be connected to such countries.
