The Protecting Our Second Amendment Data Act amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to mandate that states, local governments, and Indian tribes certify they have not disclosed personally identifiable information during firearm-related transactions. This includes applications for concealed or open carry permits and background checks. The Act also requires private entities to certify they have not used or disseminated such information.
