The Iranian Temporary Immigration Relief Act provides temporary protected status and work authorization to Iranian nationals in the U.S. affected by the December 2025 adjudication pause on benefit applications. The Act designates Iran for temporary protected status for 18 months, extendable by 6 months if conditions persist. It allows eligible individuals to apply for employment authorization and advance parole. The Secretary of Homeland Security must adjudicate applications within 90 days and report on processing metrics every 90 days.
