Feed Our Kids Act of 2026

Introduced·5/11/26

The Feed Our Kids Act of 2026 makes school breakfasts and lunches free for all children.

The Feed Our Kids Act of 2026 amends the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 and the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act to make breakfasts and lunches free for all children. Schools participating in the breakfast and lunch programs must not collect debt for unpaid meal charges and must not physically segregate or overtly identify children participating in the programs. The bill also prohibits schools from shaming children over unpaid meal charges. The act mandates a report on the impact of these programs on students, including academic outcomes and access to nutritional meals.
