Making Reviews Certain Act

Introduced·4/13/26

The Making Reviews Certain Act amends the National Environmental Policy Act to limit judicial review of environmental documents for energy.

The Making Reviews Certain Act amends the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 to limit judicial review of environmental documents for energy infrastructure. It establishes a 180-day deadline for filing claims challenging final agency actions unless a shorter deadline is specified by law. The act also limits the scope of review to effects that are reasonably close causally related to the immediate project or action. Courts may remand environmental documents to agencies for correction of errors or deficiencies within 180 days.
