The OHH SNAP Act of 2026 amends the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to allow students with a student aid index of zero or less to qualify for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. It also removes the requirement for students to work or attend an institution of higher education to qualify for SNAP. The changes take effect 180 days after the enactment of the Act.
