Safe SPEEDS Act mandates uniform classification and labeling standards for low-speed electric bicycles and off-road electric devices.

The Safe SPEEDS Act requires the Consumer Product Safety Commission to establish a safety standard for the classification and labeling of low-speed electric bicycles and other off-road electric devices. The standard must include definitions for distinct classifications, minimum age recommendations for users, and labeling requirements. The Commission must also conduct analyses on crashes, injuries, and fatalities associated with these devices, disaggregated by user age and device type.
