The Municipal Investment and Neighborhood Transformation Act, or MINT Act, amends the Internal Revenue Code to restore the tax-exempt status for state and local bonds guaranteed by Federal home loan banks. This change removes the time limit on these bonds and updates safety and soundness requirements. The amendments apply to guarantees made after the enactment of this Act.
