Global Health, Empowerment and Rights Act prohibits restrictive eligibility requirements for foreign nongovernmental organizations.
The Global Health, Empowerment and Rights Act aims to ensure that foreign nongovernmental organizations are not ineligible for assistance under part I of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 based on health or medical services provided with non-U.S. government funds, provided such services do not violate local laws. It also exempts these organizations from certain advocacy and lobbying activity requirements that apply to U.S. nongovernmental organizations receiving assistance.
