Give America a Raise Act increases the federal minimum wage and adjusts wages for tipped employees and those under 20 years old.

The Give America a Raise Act amends the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to increase the federal minimum wage incrementally over six years, starting at $10.00 an hour and reaching $20.00 an hour. It also raises the minimum wage for tipped employees, beginning at $6.00 an hour and increasing to $15.00 an hour over five years. For employees under 20 years old, the minimum wage starts at $6.00 an hour and increases to $15.00 an hour over five years. The Act mandates the Secretary of Labor to publish notices of wage increases and prohibits new special certificates for subminimum wages.
