Mystic Alerts Act enables satellite transmission of emergency alerts by commercial mobile service providers.

The Mystic Alerts Act allows commercial mobile service providers to transmit emergency alerts via satellite. Providers must prevent devices of subscribers who opt out from receiving such alerts by satellite. The Federal Communications Commission must establish technical standards and requirements for satellite alerts within 12 months of enactment. Providers must notify the FCC and users if they choose to transmit alerts by satellite.
